Anne MacDonald
Founder and Principal, Matterhorn AdvisoryAnne MacDonald is a policy advisor and strategy consultant for corporations and non-profits seeking to imbue more social value into their products and programs. After working in the White House, Pentagon, and State Department during the Administration of President George W. Bush, she served as the post-presidency chief of staff to Mrs. Laura Bush through the launch of the Bush Presidential Center and Institute. Anne also lived and worked in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in one of the world’s first organizations dedicated to the fight against HIV/AIDS – GHESKIO Centers. Anne is a graduate of Harvard University (MPA) and Rhodes College, where her research focused on improving efficiency and effectiveness of US international development efforts. Right now – outside of her consulting practice – Anne is working on standing up a public-private partnership to help Dallas area veterans make a successful transition to civilian life, writing on reforming how the American philanthropic sector operates (particularly abroad), and serves on non-profit advisory boards of organizations operating in Dallas, Burma, Haiti, and Uganda.
