Dr. Jack Elliot

Dr. Jack Elliot is Professor and a Senior Scientist in the Norman Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture and Development at Texas A&M University. He is the inaugural Shirley B., and Daniel C. Pfannstiel ’49 Chair for International Agriculture and Extension. Prior to his career in academia, Jack and his wife Maureen were dryland grain and cattle farmers in Montana. Dr. Elliot served as Professor and Head of the Department of Agricultural Education at The University of Arizona prior to moving to Texas A&M. Dr. Elliot has literally circumnavigated the globe twice while conducting university faculty teaching and assessment workshops in Guam, Chile, Russia, Namibia and many other locations.

Dr. Elliot received his B.S.in Agricultural Education in 1975 and M.A. in Agricultural Economics in 1978 from Washington State University. He received his Ph.D. In Agricultural Education in 1988 from The Ohio State University.
