Helen Roberts-Evans

Associate Director of the Dept. of General Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church in Liberia

Helen Roberts-Evans is a missionary of the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church, serving as Associate Director for Instruction for the Department of General Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church in Liberia. She was commissioned in October 2009, having initially gone to Liberia in July 2008 to volunteer in the Children’s Ministry at New Georgia United Methodist Church in Montserrado County. Helen was born in Liberia and her return as a missionary was a lifelong dream.

Helen’s work includes meeting needs in such areas as teacher training, school resources, and scholarships. In 2012, Helen became involved with 4-H Liberia, giving administrative support to the National Office and encouraging 4-H Clubs within the United Methodist School System.

Helen is a member of Sherman United Methodist Church in Evanston, Illinois.
